- The DeKalb County Police Department has opened an investigation into a suspected Decatur homicide. The department located a deceased woman in a Snapfinger Parkway parking lot on Saturday afternoon. The woman had an apparent gunshot wound. As of Sunday, the department has not released information regarding the victim's identity or any suspects. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The DeKalb County Police Department reports multiple people were shot during an apparent home invasion on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at a home on Gresham Road. The shot men were between 15 years old and 30 years old; all four men were in serious to critical condition, according to the department. Authorities believe that the men were attempting to enter the home and the shooting appears justified. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- Family and friends of Lauren Kristara Sawyer-Allen, the Lyft driver who was fatally shot last week, gathered for a balloon release to honor her memory. She was the daughter of Joe Sawyer, a Peachtree Corners Councilman. The balloon release was held in Norcross at Lillian Webb Park on Friday. (WSBRadio)
