Decatur to Host Neighborhood Cleanup Days
On Saturdays in March & April, residents can dispose of bulk items.

DECATUR, GA -- If you're like most homeowners you may have a few things around the house that you just don't need anymore. That old Hoover vacuum cleaner in the closet with the broken knob. The round glass dining table that you had since college but no longer eat on. That dog hair-covered futon. That grand piano from Grandma's? OK, that stays, but you get the point.
Starting next month, Decatur is hosting Neighborhood Cleanup Days so that residents can get rid of bulky materials that don't fit in normal-sized trash bags.
On every Saturday in March and April, crews will come by to dispose of what is brought to the curb. Every street will be covered, the city says.
