  1. The Decatur Arts Festival was held last Friday-Sunday, May 5-7. The festival was held in Downtown Decatur. In addition to the festival was an Artist Market. There was a variety of fun and games for people of all ages. Fine art was on display. There was live music to dance to, and plenty of food to fill up on. Dean Hesse was the photographer during the event and captured many beautiful memories.   2. DeKalb Fire Rescue team arrived on the scene of Barbara Lane at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Monday. According to reports, flames were flying from the one-story home, which caused a large amount of damage to the property. No one was injured during the fire.   3. Repairs on roads and walkways in Avondale Estates are underway. These repairs will be ongoing for the month of May. Alternative routes may be required or heavily suggested. Notices will be placed within the affected areas. Clarendon Avenue, Dartmouth Avenue, and Kensington Road are just a few of the areas that will be receiving repairs.
