  1. The Decatur City Commission has approved new election districts. The city's District 2 will now cover more of the downtown area. The new districts have a difference of 20 people, a total deviation of only 0.16 percent. The district changes will go into effect on Jan. 1. (Decaturish.com)
  2. The City of Avondale Estates has found a new full-time finance director. The city has been using two consultants to handle the workload since March. The new finance director will be taking over on Dec. 5. The City Commission approved an additional $30,000 for the contractor assisting with the city's financial operations in the meantime.   3. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has opened an investigation into a shooting that occurred at a DeKalb County gas station on Monday evening. The incident occurred at the Covington Highway Shell gas station and resulted in a dead suspect and an injured officer. As of Monday, the suspect's identity has not been released. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
