- Decorate Decatur is back! Judging for the holiday decorating contest will begin on Saturday, Dec. 10. Winners will be posted on the Decorate Decatur Facebook page. The Commissioner's Cup winner will be presented at the Dec. 19 Decatur City Commission meeting. Get your decorations ready! (City of Decatur)
- Some community members say DeKalb County Schools has been sending mixed signals regarding community input in the superintendent search. The district had originally planned to hold a community engagement session on Dec. 6, but it was canceled due to a conflict with the state's runoff election. The Dec. 8 and Dec. 13 community engagement session registration links did not work. The district claims that a new date and new links will be made available soon. (Decaturish.com )
- DeKalb County will be closing portions of Dogwood Lane Northeast for sanitary sewer line work. The closures will be from Chrysler Drive Northeast and the cul-de-sac. The closures will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. between Monday, Dec. 5, and Monday, Dec. 19. (Decaturish.com)
