Deja Vu-Roooom: Car Rams Finders Keepers
Finders Keepers Furnishings reopened Friday after a car rammed the front door Thursday. Seven months ago, a car rammed the next-door business, Mobeta Wings.
in Avondale Estates reopened Friday, a day after a car ran off the road and rammed the store's front door, injuring a woman.
The wreck occurred seven months after . Bonnie Kallenberg and her husband own both buildings.
Kallenberg said the Thursday wreck happened when a blue sedan veered off East College Avenue about 1 p.m., ran through the consignment store parking lot, and crashed into the glass front door.

"There were no cars in the parking lot to stop her," Kallenberg said.
Mekka Parish, DeKalb County police spokeswoman, said a woman at the store was hurt but the injuries were not life-threatening. Parish said the 50-year-old female driver said the car malfunctioned. No charges were filed, Parish said.

On Oct. 13, 2011, a customer at the next-door business, Mobeta Wings, rammed her Lexus sedan into the front door of the restaurant.
The driver told DeKalb County police she backed up in the parking lot and struck a post, then put the car into drive and accidentally accelerated into the front door.
Nobody was hurt in that wreck, but in early February.
The Finders Keepers store was open on Friday. Repairmen quickly arrived to fix the door and some broken brickwork.
"Everybody leaped into action," Kallenberg said.
The wreck left Kallenberg wondering what makes her properties such car magnets.
"I don't know," she said. "Maybe we need some traffic calming devices out there."
