DeKalb County Opening Three Warming Centers

The three warming centers are located in Decatur, Avondale Estates and Ellenwood.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County announced plans Monday to open three warming centers as colder temperatures once again move in.

The warming centers will be open for two nights this week — Monday and Tuesday — at 8 p.m., according to county officials.

• Fire Station 3, 100 N. Clarendon Ave. in Avondale Estates
• Fire Station 4, 4540 Flakes Mill Rd. in Ellenwood
• Fire Station 6, 2342 Flat Shoals Rd. in Decatur

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for clear skies with lows in the upper twenties Monday night.

Residents can expect a low of 29 degrees Tuesday night.
