DeKalb County Sheriff's Office Mourns Deputy's Untimely Death
Sergeant Noel Kristian Cameron βhad worked for the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office for more than a decade prior to his death.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA β Deputies at the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office are mourning the loss of one of their own. Sergeant Noel Kristian Cameron died suddenly Sunday, according to the sheriff's office. He was 36 years old.
Cameron began his law enforcement career with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office on Nov. 7, 2011 as a detention officer and was promoted to corporal-training before his promotion to sergeant.
Prior to his death, authorities said Cameron was assigned to the morning watch at the DeKalb County Jail.

"We are remembering Deputy Cameron as a wonderful sergeant who really cared about his team, an ardent motivator of exemplary conduct, and a true soldier who will be greatly missed," the sheriff's office posted on its official Facebook page Monday.
Cameron leaves behind a wife, a son and daughter.

His cause of death was not immediately known.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
