DeKalb Hosting Falcons Pep Rally on Friday
Event for county employees will feature food, music and more.

DECATUR, GA -- The Atlanta Falcons have turned normally stoic municipal offices around metro Atlanta into festive atmospheres as the NFL team tries to bring a Super Bowl trophy home to the city.
In honor of the Falcons, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond is hosting a pep rally Friday for county employees.
The day has been declared "Falcons Friday" by Gov. Nathan Deal, who issued a proclamation declaring that the team be saluted ahead of Sunday's big game.

Last week, Atlanta hosted a Falcons pep rally attended by several celebrities, including music star Usher.
In DeKalb, Thurmond aims to get into the spirit by serving county workers food, good music and some special appearances from former Falcons, including State Rep. Dewey McClain.

The Falcons play the Patriots in the Super Bowl Sunday in Houston.
