DECATUR, GA -- Water customers in DeKalb County will have the chance to talk to utility representatives Tuesday afternoon, the county said.
Staffers with DeKalb's Utility Customer Operations will be on hand from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Maloof Auditorium to hear residents' concerns.
The county says customers will be able to file new billing disputes as well as get their questions answered.

"Representatives will be able to verify whether the customer is in dispute process. Customers who have had their bills held will be able to learn whether their bills will be one of the 8,000 bills to be released beginning the week of April 10 or whether their bills still will be held for evaluation," the county says in a news release.
The effort is part of DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond's promise to solve the water billing crisis, which has dogged two previous county administrations.
