DeKalb Teaching Kids About Media Literacy and Video Production
The DeKalb Entertainment Commission is hosting a Kids Video Connection Workshop at the Clarkston Public Library.

DECATUR, GA — Kids Video Connection, with support from the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, will host a workshop on April 27 called “Intro to Media Literacy & Video Production,” at the Clarkston Public Library. The event is open to youth ages 12 - 17 and will introduce participants to media literacy concepts and instruct them on script writing and video production.
Students will produce a Public Service Announcement to promote reading and the DeKalb County Public Library.
The free class runs from 1-3:30 pm at the Clarkston Public Library, 951 N Indian Creek Drive, Clarkston, Georgia.

Kids Video Connection's mission is to use video production as a teaching tool to educate and empower today’s youth with media literacy, communication and critical thinking skills that will help them become independent thinkers and creators of tomorrow.
The DeKalb Entertainment Commission offers businesses in Georgia’s fast-growing entertainment industry access to a collaborative, supportive infrastructure which accelerates the growth and success of creative ventures in film, television, music and digital entertainment. The sommission is the primary driving force attracting and expanding businesses supporting the film, television, music and digital entertainment industry in DeKalb County.
