Here are the top stories in Decatur-Avondale Estates today:
- A Decatur woman was forced to use self-defense when a man broke into her home on Flat Shoals Rd. According to a report, the woman knows the male suspect. He has been charged with six counts of home invasion. DeKalb County Police have yet to release any further details regarding the incident. (Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch)
- The DeKalb County Police issued an emergency missing alert for 72-year-old, Ronnie Mack, who has been diagnosed with dementia. Mack was last seen on Sunday at approximately 3 a.m., in the area of Wingfoot Place. According to county police Mack walks with a limp, has brown eyes, and black hair, weighs around 135 pounds, and is 5 ft, 7 inches. If anyone has information regarding this case, police are asking that you call 770-724-7710 as soon as possible. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The Iberain Pig Decatur is serving up a Dine with Dad menu for Father's Day. On the menu are their smoked duck wings served with a variety of sides and other meats.
