Disgruntled Ex-Employee Arrested In Decatur Coffee Shop Fire
Rickey Hodges Thomas was arrested last week in connection with the fire that almost burned Java Monkey the ground late last year.

DECATUR, GA -- Police have arrested their prime suspect in connection with a fire that almost destroyed a popular Decatur coffee shop last November. Last week, Rickey Hodges Thomas, 28, described as a disgruntled former employee of Java Monkey, was arrested in East Point. He is currently in the DeKalb County jail.
Hodges is suspected of setting the fire that damaged Java Monkey and two neighboring restaurants, Fresh to Order and Noodle.
The fire broke out late on Nov. 12, 2018. Hodges has been charged with arson.
