1. If you are one who likes to plan ahead, you can mark this road closure on your calendar.
   Jan. 5, Kensington Road will be closed between Camp Road and Memorial Drive for at least four weeks as crews work on replacing sewer pipes. Detour signs will be in place at the times of the closures. (Press Release Desk)
2. The Department of Corrections will soon have a new commissioner as the old commissioner, Tim Ward, joins the state Board of Pardons. During the time Ward worked at the Department of Corrections, it faced much criticism due to its conditions and deaths at the state prisons. ( 11Alive.com)
