  1. The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management is repairing a section of West Hospital Avenue. Both the west and eastbound lanes of Chamblee Tucker Rd. were closed due to a fire hydrant that burst after a motorist struck it yesterday morning. DeKalb County is working on providing updates concerning the repairs. (Decaturish.com )

  3. The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Affairs hosted the fifth annual Easter Egg and Scavenger Hunt Extravaganza. The event took place at the Midway Recreation Center in Greater Decatur on April 1. Participants created a variety of arts and crafts, enjoyed food from local vendors, played games, and enjoyed giveaways, and egg hunts.(Decaturish.com )

  • Mother Nature may have felt bad for delivering up a storming Sunday last week. She has made up for it with a 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 day yesterday! The Avondale Estates folks were out in large numbers supporting their favorite vendors and they hope to do it again next week. (Avondale Estates Farmer's Market via Facebook)
  • Many little pups are awaiting adoption at the Doggie Harmony Rescue. If you are "on the fence" when it comes to committing to an adoption, you may consider fostering a pup, as some do. (Doggie Harmony Rescue via Facebook)
  • A huge thanks went out to everyone who visited the Librarian Christina Tatum and McCain intern Jada Beasley at the March Mobile Librarian installment last week.
