- Only a few days before Power of Faith Family Worship Center was scheduled to open as a warming center for members of the community undergoing homeless, the building caught on fire. Firemen on the scene reported that frigid weather and the size of the center didn't help matters. Crews were able, though, to put the fire out without suffering any injuries. Members of the center also gathered to clean up the damage that the fire left behind. Many of the worship services are now put on hold until further notice. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- A passenger of a crashed car fled the scene of an accident, according to witnesses. Upon further observation, the driver was still inside of the car and when police arrived, they noticed the driver had been shot. Emergency crews arrived and drove the unidentified person to the hospital and the latest reports state the person is in critical condition. The DeKalb County Police are asking the public to contact them if anyone has any information regarding this case. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
