- The 2023 amnesty program held by The Decatur Municipal Court will be held from April 15 to June 30, according to a press release. Through this program, amnesty is offered to individuals to resolve past-due traffic citations and qualified bench warrants that are still active. The founders of the program hope to restore the status of drivers on the road. Those with outstanding violations have the opportunity to visit the Decatur Municipal Court between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday for more details and address their issues related to this matter. - Brian Lake has been appointed to the Superior Court of the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. The position was appointed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp. Lake is filling the vacancy left by the resignation of the Hon. Mark Anthony Scott. Lake has worked in the federal and state courts at the trial and appeals levels. Prior to entering private practice, he was a judicial law clerk to the Hon. William T. Moore, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. (Press Release Desk)

- The collective vision crafted for Downtown Decatur is wrapping up. The community’s concepts and ideas that may shape the next 10 years of downtown growth may be heard at the third and final community meeting for the Decatur Town Center Plan 2.0.
