- Athletic Director Henrietta George, of Druid Hills High School, was named as the first-place winner of the Hidden Heroes educator award. The Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement's Hidden Heroes award recognizes educators and their commitments to their students and communities. Next week, the top three educators will be presented with cash prizes at their individual schools. (Decaturish.com)
- The DeKalb County 100 Black Men and DeKalb County School District will partner to host the 4th Annual Lock-in For Life. The free event will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, and aims to promote healthy relationships among teen males in middle school and high school.
