Family of Man Killed by DeKalb PD Suing County
The 52-year-old man was killed in a shooting more than three years ago.

The family of a man who was shot and killed by DeKalb County police in August of 2012 is suing the county for wrongful death and police brutality.
Michael Wayne Perryman, 52, was killed on Aug. 12, 2012, when police say he threatened two officers with a knife. The official police account as relayed by WSB-TV says Perryman was threatening customers at a Glenwood Road Chevron when officers arrived; Perryman then allegedly advanced quickly towards one officer while holding the knife, at which point the second officer shot him.
The medical examiner reported Perryman was shot 10 times, including gunshots to the back. The officers were cleared of any wrongdoing, WSB-TV says.
