  1. The latest reports in the case of Parez TerΓ‘n, the environmental activist who was shot and killed by local law enforcement, reveal that troopers shot fire pepper balls at the activist before he fired shots, injuring a trooper, according to the newly obtained reports. 2. Severe thunderstorm warnings went out for parts of metro Atlanta. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning as well. The warning continued until approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday. DeKalb County was one of the areas of concern and a few flights were delayed at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)

  4. β€œLife and the Afterlife: Ancient Egyptian Art from the Senusret Collection” is being showcased at the Michael C. Carlos Museum. The exhibit has been on display since February and is ongoing until Aug. 6. The collection, named after King Senusret II’s pyramid village, Hetep-Senusret in the Faiyum, was gifted by the Georges Ricard Foundation. (Decaturish.com, Patch)
  5. It was the most perfect spring day to have the Touch-A-Truck event in Decatur. Many participants and spectators were on site taking photos and enjoying the weather and scenery. Photographer Dean Hesse captured a MARTA Bus Operator Michael Welsh, and an electric bus; Anna Zietz, and her son Arlo as they explored a street sweeper; and a group of people surveying vehicles that were on display.
