Florida Man Arrested In Rape Of 9-Year-Old In Decatur: Authorities

DECATUR, GA -- A Florida man wanted in connection with the molestation of a 9-year-old girl in Decatur has been arrested, DeKalb County officials said Thursday. Irwin Keith Littles, 41, of St. Petersburg was apprehended Wednesday in N. Kenneth City recently by the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Unit, authorities said.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in Florida assisted the case, according to a news release from the DeKalb Sheriff's office. Warrants were issued on June 9 for Littles, who is accused of raping the 9-year-old between January and May 2014at a residence on Meadow Lane in the city. He is charged with multiple charges associated with rape, including felony child molestation, felony aggravated child molestation (sodomy) and felony aggravated sexual battery.

Littles is being extradited to Georgia, where he will be jailed in DeKalb awaiting trial.
