  1. Fresh on Dek, the DeKalb Mobile Farmers Market is accepting applications for its up-and-coming mobile stops in 2023. The mobile farmers market provides information concerning the importance of healthy eating through the foods we consume, offers food demonstrations, and affordable produce. Communities, businesses, and organizations interested in a mobile stop have until Jan. 27, 2023, to apply. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Detours and road closure signs are scheduled to be posted due to sewer line work. The closure will be between Chrysler Drive Northwest and Renault Lane Northeast on Monday, Dec. 12-Monday Dec. 26. between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Decaturish.com )
  3. A local drag car racer has been sentenced to 48 months in prison, with 6 months to serve. He's also ordered to pay $5,000 in fines, participate in a traffic violators program, and more after pleading guilty to charges in DeKalb County Court. (Decaturish.com )
  4. American Diabetes Association (ADA) and local Kroger food stores have teamed up to offer free diabetes assessments and resources to customers. Kroger associates will be offered free virtual education sessions sponsored by ADA. Two participating sites are 2385 Wesley Chapel Road and 4919 Flat Shoals Parkway, both in Decatur and from 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 12- Dec. 15. (The Atlanta Voice)
