GBI Announces Names Assistant Special Agent In Charge

Ryan Hilton was promoted to the role.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announces the promotion of Ryan Hilton to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the GBI’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit. ASAC Hilton will assist in the supervision of the staff assigned to this statewide unit that conducts investigations involving human exploitation to include sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and exploitation of the elderly.

ASAC Hilton began his law enforcement career with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources in 2006 and the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office in 2008 before coming to the GBI in 2011. He has held assignments with the GBI as a special agent at the Cleveland and Milledgeville Regional Investigative Offices, the Gang Task Force, and as a task force officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Middle Georgia Safe Streets Gang Task Force. ASAC Hilton is a certified bomb disposal technician and a P.O.S.T. certified instructor.

ASAC Hilton graduated from Clayton State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
