GBI Announces Promotion Of Rocky Bigham To Special Agent In Charge

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announces the promotion of Rocky Bigham to Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the GBI’s Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GISAC) Unit. SAC Bigham will be responsible for supervision of the staff assigned to this statewide unit that provides investigative support to law enforcement for criminal activity and to dedicate resources to the protection of Georgia’s citizens against the threat of terrorism. GISAC works closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to build connectivity to analyze, correlate, validate, and disseminate critical intelligence.

SAC Bigham began his law enforcement career with the GBI in 2007, as a special agent assigned to the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force. SAC Bigham was then transferred to the Atlanta Regional Investigative Office in 2011, where he also held a position on the FBI Public Corruption Task Force. SAC Bigham was promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Atlanta Regional Investigative Office in 2016 and has served as an ASAC at GISAC since 2019. SAC Bigham is also a use of force instructor.

SAC Bigham graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. SAC Bigham is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia (Session 276).

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is comprised of four divisions: the Georgia Crime Information Center, the Crime Laboratory, the Investigative Division, and the Legal Division. The GBI has over 900 employees and a current budget of $147,482,036.
