GBI Names Chemistry Assistant Manager

Brittany Scott was promoted to serve in the role.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announces the promotion of Brittany Scott to Assistant Manager of the Chemistry Section of the GBI Crime Lab. She will be responsible for assisting the chemistry section manager with the daily operations of the section and supervise chemistry personnel.

Ms. Scott has been working for the GBI since December of 2013. She started off as a scientist trainee. She completed her training in 2014 and began casework to determine the presence/absence of controlled substances. Ms. Scott has also mentored several other scientists throughout her career.

Ms. Scott graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She is originally from McDonough, GA and currently resides in Fayetteville, GA.
