"I am so excited for this year's Team Hope Walk,β said Jessica King, HDSAβs Georgia chapter president, in the release. βWhether I'm walking with friends and family, browsing the silent auction, hanging out at the kiddos' table, or jamming with the DJ, it is always a great experience. In addition to being an incredibly fun event, the Team Hope Walk also raises a lot of money to help in the fight against HD."
Huntington's disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes a progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain, according to the HDSA. It deteriorates a person's physical and mental abilities and has no cure.
