Get $50 In Exchange For Vaccination At DeKalb Event Saturday
DeKalb County officials are giving out $50 prepaid cards to the first 300 residents who get a COVID-19 vaccination at an event Saturday.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The first 300 people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at DeKalb County's monthly food distribution event this Saturday will get $50 debit cards, county officials announced Wednesday.
Beginning at 8 a.m., medical professionals from the DeKalb County Board of Health and DeKalb Fire Rescue will administer vaccines to anyone age 12 and older at three locations:
- James R. Hallford Stadium, 3789 Memorial College Avenue, Clarkston
- Buck Godfrey Stadium, 2817 Clifton Springs Road, Decatur
- Rehoboth Baptist Church, 2997 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker
The first 100 people at each location will get a $50 prepaid debit card.

“Only 44 percent of DeKalb County residents are fully vaccinated,” DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond said. “We are urging residents to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves and their families as COVID-19 cases are again on the rise.”
The vaccinations will occur during the food distribution event, which starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at five locations.
