Help Choose A Decatur Shopping Slogan

The City of Decatur has a venerable all-purpose slogan: A City of Homes, Schools and Places of Worship. It's been used for decades and fits perfectly with the city logo.

But the city decided it needs a separate marketing slogan. Two months ago,  residents were asked to submit ideas for slogans that capture the city's love of independent businesses.

The Decatur Minute says the city got 250 responses. A committee came up with these four finalists:

1. Keep it Indie-Catur.

2. Decatur Loco.

3. Respect the Dec.

4. Love Decatur Buy Local.

Now the city is asking citizens to go to The Decatur Minute and pick their favorite.

Some of these slogans make more sense when you see them the artwork that goes along with them -- artwork which may still change.
