Jacobs Joins Thomas Eye Group in Decatur
Alabama native is author of several articles on eye disease.

Mindabeth Jacobs has joined the group of healthcare professionals at Thomas Eye Group, an eye care provider that offers comprehensive services including LASIK and medical, surgical and cosmetic eye care, with an office in Decatur.
“Dr. Jacobs is extremely active within the eye care community,” Rod Roeser, the Thomas Eye Group's chief executive, said in a statement.
“Her skill set and reputation for high quality care make her a great addition to our team.”

An Alabama native, Jacobs is the author several articles on the diagnosis, treatment and management of eye diseases.
Since 2011, she has been the chairwoman of Item Writing for the American Board of Optometry. She also is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, as well as a member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, the Georgia Optometric Association and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association.

Jacobs obtained her bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida and a doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry.
After graduating, she moved to Atlanta to complete a residency with a specialization in ocular disease.
After her residency, she earned a fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.
