Le Petit Marche - After 13 years, Le Petit Marche announced it would permanently close its doors March 31, marking the end of a Kirkwood community staple — until the Atlanta Breakfast Club team stepped in. The restaurant has not yet reopened as it’s undergoing renovations.

Ford’s BBQ - Matador Mexican Cantina, located at 350 Mead Road in Decatur, closed its doors in May after 15 years — and Tucker-based Ford’s BBQ will open in its place, Matador officials posted on Facebook. The Decatur spot has not yet opened as of publication.

Stride Senior Residences - More housing for older citizens recently opened in Decatur with the addition of Stride Senior Residences, which held a ribbon cutting ceremony in late May, a press release said.
