- A 4-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound in his foot. Police arrived at a Decatur apartment complex along Tregoney Drive, just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 23. This incident is still under investigation. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Howling winds have caused a huge headache for homeowners in Decatur. Friday morning trees tumbled down onto homes in parts of Atlanta. Reports state that some of the hardest hit homes were in Decatur. (WSB Atlanta)
- The DeKalb County Board of Education approved a contract with Hall Booth Smith, P.C., and SPLOST legal counsel for the school district. The board has also terminated its contract with Hall Booth Smith, P.C. as general and SPLOST legal counsel. Both legal firms are being paid by the DeKalb County School District during this transition. (Decaturish.com )
