  1. The Peachtree Road Race will take place on Tuesday, July 4. The starting time is 7 a.m. Time accommodations have been made for people using wheelchairs, which is 6: 25 a.m. Those attending are encouraged to use MARTA and public restrooms will be open in Decatur and other areas from 6 a.m.- 10 p.m. (On Common Ground News)
  2. Malcolm-Jamal Warner will be featured in the free summer concert presented by Commissioner Larry Johnson. The event takes place June 29, at the Rainbow Park Amphitheater, at 3181 Rainbow Drive in Decatur. Fifty years of hip-hop through jazz will be celebrated during the event. (EventBrite, OCGNews)
  3. Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Monday evening. The shooting occurred on Wesley Chapel Road in Decatur. One person has been pronounced deceased and two others have been taken to the hospital. Information on their condition hasn't been released to the public. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
