Milledgeville Man Awaits Extradition To DeKalb In Slaying: Sheriff
David E. Johnson, Jr., 32, in the Volusia County, Florida jail awaiting extradition on murder charges, the DeKalb Sheriff's Office said.
DECATUR, GA -- A Milledgeville man arrested in the slaying of a Decatur man is in the Volusia County, Florida jail awaiting extradition on murder charges, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.
David E. Johnson, Jr., 32, was pulled over by Florida State Patrol on Tuesday, the office said. He was arrested for the shooting death of Timond Eugene Chubb. The slaying took place on June 3 on Glenwood Road during a shootout that police say may have involved street gangs. A warrant for Jonson was issued on June 8, the sheriff's office said. DeKalb law enforcement officers were also looking for Johnson in relation to allegedly not paying child support.
