Mother's Day Decatur Apartment Fire Leaves Six Families Homeless
Three units were damaged in the Sunday morning fire.
DECATUR, GA -- Six families were displaced early Sunday morning in an apartment fire in unincorporated Decatur. According to the DeKalb Fire & Rescue Department, the blaze happened around 1:30 am Sunday morning on Clubhouse Circle.
Firefighters arrived to find light smoke showing from one of the units, but a search eventually found the fire in the building's walls and under the floor.
The fire made its way to the roof before being put out. No one was injured, and the American Red Cross is helping the families who were displaced.
