  1. DeKalb County police are piecing together details involving 3 men who were shot Wednesday afternoon. They were first called to Flakes Mill Road near a Publix grocery store where they found the first man who was shot in the stomach and rushed to the hospital. Soon after, another man who police say was shot at the first scene was found at a Chevron gas station near Flat Shoals Road. He too was taken to the hospital. The third victim later came forward it was said to have driven himself to the hospital. This story is still developing (11Alive.com WXIA)
  2. It seems as though things are getting back to normal. DeKalb County has lifted its boil water advisory that has been in place since Dec. 26. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division reviewed a variety of tests and authorized the advisory to be lifted. (Decaturish.com )
  3. 19-year-old, JaNautica Whitehead was murdered on Nov. 26. She was found deceased in a car at 3951 Snapfinger Parkway, near the Omega Psi Phi World Headquarters in DeKalb County. According to reports, JaNautica knew the person being charged with her murder, and the two dated in the past. Amos King, an NAACP DeKalb member, and community activist found the body and on Dec. 22 he held a news conference to bring attention to JaNautica's murder which he stated was not receiving enough media attention.
