- The deadline to submit new applications for DeKalb County's Tenant-Landlord Assistance Coalition is Monday, Nov. 21, at 5:00 p.m. The deadline is set by the federal government. The program has helped over 5,000 families and landlords impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. There are currently 645 applicants awaiting approval. (Decaturish.com)
- The Avondale Estates City Commission will continue to discuss the 2023-2024 capital program and operating budget at its new regular meeting. The most notable budget item up for discussion is a three percent living adjustment for city employees. The proposed 2023 budget forecasts a lower revenue stream than in 2022. - Two DeKalb County voting locations delayed closing due to a delayed start. The locations were scheduled to be closed at 7:00 p.m., but the closing time was extended to 7:40 p.m. The voting locations affected were Solid Rock AME Church and Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church.
