  1. The 2nd annual Pan-African Festival, a celebration of the African diaspora, will be held in downtown Decatur on Saturday. Sponsored by the Beacon Hill Black Alliance For Human Rights, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. residents of Decatur-Avondale Estates can enjoy music, films, a marketplace, diverse food, and more.   3. A Southwest DeKalb High School junior golfer will hit the Hope First Tee Ceremonial Tee Shot on Aug. 25. Ethan Quitman applied for the opportunity, wrote an essay, and played a tournament to earn the right, in addition to a $5,000 Hope First Tee scholarship. The ceremonial shot will kick off the 2022 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. (On Common Ground News)
