Rep. Hank Johnson To Host Town Hall On COVID-19 Relief Resources

A DeKalb congressman and a panel of experts will talk about COVID-19 relief resources like renters' rights, stimulus checks and the vaccine.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson and a team of experts will provide info on COVID-19 relief resources Thursday in a virtual town hall, including housing and renters' rights, the COVID-19 vaccine, unemployment and stimulus checks.

Johnson, who represents most of DeKalb County in the U.S. House of Representatives, organized the meeting to discuss unemployment, stimulus checks and small business loans; evictions, foreclosures and renters' rights; as well as the COVID-19 vaccine, coronavirus health issues and other topics in the telephone town hall, which will also be available to watch online.

  • Terri Denison: Georgia district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
  • Ruby Riesinger: area director and a business consultant for the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center in DeKalb and Rockdale counties
  • Linda Berkman: IRS congressional liaison
  • Attorney Karen Brown: Atlanta Legal Aid
  • Nancy Flake Johnson: Urban League of Atlanta
  • Dr. Zanthia Wiley: Emory’s Division of Infectious Diseases and Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship
