- The Decatur City Commission has approved an alcoholic beverage license for Independent Distilling Company. The license is necessary for the company to begin manufacturing distilled spirits at its new location on E. College Ave. The distilling company was started in 2014 and has been collaborating with local producers to make small-batch spirits. (Decaturish.com)
- The DeKalb County Police Department is searching for a missing teen. Aaron, 18 years old, went missing on Saturday near Terrytown Lane. It is uncertain what the teen was wearing when he went missing. Anyone with information about Aaron's whereabouts is asked to contact the department. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- Decatur's Georgia Public Health Laboratory has confirmed a rabies case. A rabid raccoon was found in Columbia County on Nov. 10 and tested at the Decatur laboratory. DeKalb County residents are reminded to vaccinate their pets against rabies and not to let pets roam freely. Residents should not make contact with wild animals. (WJBF)
