Sprouts To Open In Decatur on March 1

DECATUR, GA -- Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open its Decatur store March 1, the health food grocery told Patch on Thursday. The store will feature deep discounts, free samples and more to a select number of shoppers during grand opening week.

The opening is part of a massive expansion for the Phoenix-based chain. With the growth of Whole Foods and its more affordable imprint, 365 Whole Foods, along with traditional grocery stores like Publix and Kroger expanding their organic food offerings, metro Atlanta is a ripe market for health-conscious and natural foods stores.

The Decatur Sprouts store will be located at 2551 Blackmon Dr., Decatur, Ga 30033. The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the 30,000-square foot store, which will open its doors at 7 a.m. Now about those discounts and freebies:

The first 200 shoppers to make a purchase will receive 20 percent off.
· Muffin and coffee samples will be served to shoppers in line before the doors open.
· At checkout, every 15th shopper will receive a coupon book to save money on future Sprouts purchases.
· Every customer gets a free reusable bag with purchase.

Saturday, March 4 - The first 200 customers to buy something will get a coupon booklet for five free deli delights.
· Sunday, March 5 - At checkout, every 15th customer will receive a coupon for $5 off a purchase of more than $15 made the following week.

As part of the Food Rescue Program, which several businesses in the community participate in, Sprouts will donate unsold groceries to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Sprouts has several stores in the area, with several more planned throughout the year. Look for a Tucker location in April and a Woodstock store in June.

In all, by late 2017, Sprouts will have 16 stores in metro Atlanta.
