Here are the top stories in Decatur-Avondale Estates today:
- On June 8, during its regular meeting, The Decide DeKalb Development Authority board approved a tax break of $15 million. The tax break was for the Manor Druid Hills project.
The DeKalb County School Board and a county commissioner objected to the tax break, regarding it as unnecessary for the development of the property. The project will be located along Briarcliff Road near the intersection with North Druid Hills Road. (Decaturish.com ) - Farm fresh vegetables are available now at many local farmers' markets. A Pecan Day is also in the baking, or making! The event will be hosted by Community Farmers Markets in Decatur on June 14.
