Thieves Steal 16 Guns From Decatur Pawn Shop: Police

DeKalb police are asking for the public's help after two thieves break into a Decatur pawn shop and make off with firearms.

DECATUR, GA -- Dekalb County law enforcement officials are asking for the public's help in finding two thieves who broke into a pawn shop this week in Decatur and took more than a dozen weapons.

The incident happened Tuesday at the Candler Pawn Shop at 1890 Candler Road, police said. The incident is especially of interest to law enforcement because 16 firearms were stolen.

The perpetrators shattered a glass case to gain entry to the guns, police said. The duo left the shop and fled the scene in a white sedan. Police have released still images taken from security video in hopes that someone may recognize or know something about the crime.
