Tin Drum Asian Kitchen Coming Soon To Decatur
Opening early next year, Tin Drum says the Decatur location returns the restaurant to its sidewalk roots.

DECATUR, GA -- Tin Drum Asian Kitchen is set to open a new Decatur location early in 2019. Owners said the new café returns to Tin Drum’s sidewalk café roots. Company founder Steven Chan recently returned to Tin Drum and is joined by company partners Altaf and Amisha Popatiya in opening the Decatur location to evoke the hustle and bustle of a Hong Kong-style curbside café.
“It’s fun to be back with Tin Drum, bringing new collaborative knowledge to reconcile and add to the previous model that was created over 15 years ago. Above all, we are especially excited about the new menu and pushing the Tin Drummer virtue forward,” says Chan. “The result will be a genuine representation of the Tin Drum that people fell in love with in the first place.”
In addition to the popular roster of stir fry, noodle and curry, new “not in a bowl” items include sidewalk sliders, a Vietnamese bánh mì sandwich and an array of urban garden items such as papaya & fruit som tam salad, lettuce wrap, firecracker cauliflower and chilled soba noodle salad.
The new location, which will also feature a curated retail shop, is slated to open in January. The restaurant will be next to Whole Foods 365 in the new North Decatur Square shopping center at the corner of Church Street and North Decatur Road in Decatur.
With 11 locations throughout metro Atlanta, Tin Drum Asian Kitchen focuses on made by order, all-encompassing Asian food.
