Truckin' Tuesdays Returning To Decatur's Legacy Park

The city of Decatur's popular food truck event, Truckin' Tuesdays, is making a comeback in a socially-distanced version.

DECATUR, GA β€” Decatur residents: get your taste buds ready. The popular food truck event, Truckin' Tuesdays, is coming back to Decatur this summer.

A socially-distanced version of Truckin' Tuesdays will be brought to life in May, with the possibility of beer and wine to go with the food truck options, per a Legacy Decatur board vote last week. The event features the area's best food trucks, which change each week.

The nonprofit board, which manages Legacy Park, voted to ask the state for permission to sell beer and wine at the weekly events, with proceeds going toward funding improvements at the park.

The measure must now be approved by the Decatur City Commission, which is set to consider the agenda item at its April 9 meeting. The Visitors Center website has already listed Truckin' Tuesdays on its calendar, starting May 4 at 5 p.m.
