Two Dead In Murder/Suicide At Downtown Decatur Hotel
Police responded early Wednesday morning to reports of gunshots inside the Courtyard by Marriott.

DECATUR, GA -- Two people were found dead inside a downtown Decatur hotel early Wednesday morning in what police are calling a murder-suicide. Police responded around 1:39 am to reports of gunshots inside the Courtyard by Marriott on Clairemont Avenue. Police arrived and found the two victims inside a hotel room.
Police are still investigating. The names of the victims have not been released.
Hotel guests told Fox5 they heard a woman scream, "oh my God!" before they heard about six to eight gunshots.

A member of the hotel's maintenance staff told the station said he was called in to help police open the hotel room door.
