Update: Stone Mountain Educators 'Removed' After Fight Caught On Video
DeKalb school district says 2 Stone Mountain Middle educators seen fighting on video have been "removed from the learning environment."
STONE MOUNTAIN, GA -- A video showing two women, purportedly a Stone Mountain Middle School teacher and paraprofessional, fighting in a classroom is circulating on social media this week. The video shows the women tussling and slamming into the blackboard while students scream in panic and disbelief.
While there is no word on what sparked the altercation, the 24-second clip shows the two women going at it even as a student runs up to stop them and another women physically intervenes, screaming "STOP! Neither of the participants have been identified in the brawl, which appears to have taken place in a science classroom at the school located at 4301 Sarr Pkwy, Stone Mountain, GA 30083.

The DeKalb County School District sent Patch a statement on the incident, saying: The interaction and conduct in the video is completely unacceptable and contrary to our district’s tenets and core principles. The district requires that its employees behave in a manner that is professional, civil and a positive example for our students. Those staff members that participated in the conduct have been removed from the learning environment. Following due process, DCSD will act swiftly and decisively to hold those employees accountable for their actions."
