Victim Forgives Attacker In Pallookaville Stabbing
BREAKING: Worker stabbed more than 10 times, allegedly by co-worker at popular corn dog restaurant Pallookaville in Avondale Estates.
AVONDALE ESTATES, GA -- A DeKalb County restaurant continues to raising funds to help an employee who was stabbed recently during an attack in the eatery, Patch has learned.
James Thomas is on the mend after being stabbed with a butcher knife more than 10 times on March 14 working in the kitchen at Pallookaville, a corn dog eatery in Avondale Estates, according to a GoFundMe campaign.
"He is out of surgery, in stable condition and recovering nicely. In true James' fashion, he is in good spirits and joking with friends and coworkers that have visited," according to Jason Cobb Hylton, who created the GoFundMe.

Thomas was allegedly attacked by Ian Clayton, a 27-year-old employee who seemingly acted without provocation, Hylton told local media.

βThe attack was one-sided and completely out of nowhere, catching everyone off guard, including James,β Hylton told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Although Clayton is facing charges in the incident, Thomas forgives his co-worker for the attack, Hylton said.
The restaurant continues to ask supporters for donations toward Thomas' recovery. And The Giving Kitchen, a local charity for restaurant workers, is also matching funds.
