Victim ID'd In Waffle House Shooting In Decatur: ICYMI
Columbus man has been arrested in the recent slaying of Tanya Dunlap outside a Waffle House in Decatur.

DECATUR, GA -- Police in DeKalb County have made an arrest in the shooting death of a woman outside a Decatur Waffle House, Patch has learned. Anthony Henderson Perryman, 27, of Columbus was taken into custody by officers with the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit and the Columbus Police Fugitive Unit.
DeKalb authorities have identified the victim as Tanya Dunlap. A warrant in the case alleges that Perryman shot Dunlap in the head June 13 around 2 a.m. in the 4700 block of Flat Shoals Parkway. He then threatened witnesses at the scene and fled, the DeKalb Sheriff's Office said Thursday in a news release.

Perryman was romantically involved with the woman and they went to the eatery with his father, according to news reports. At some point, Perryman went back to his car and left his girlfriend and father in the Waffle House. When she went out to him, the couple got into an argument that escalated into gunfire.

Investigators tracked him down at a home near Columbus and brought him to the Muscogee County Jail without incident. From there, he will be transported to DeKalb to face the murder charge.
