Work began on the piece in November, but was delayed by inclement weather and some bureaucratic wrangling. They halted work on the bridge in December as the weather deteriorated but will be back at it beginning Saturday, April 1 at 9 a.m. For the next nine days they will paint from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

During this time West Trinity Avenue will be closed to through traffic for the artists' safety.
The bridge artwork was commissioned by Decatur last year as part of a $15,000 grant that the city agreed to match. New Orleans and Miami-based artists Asteinza and Filastre were selected earlier this year to paint the project.
