  1. A man is dead after an altercation at a Marietta Walmart, according to Cobb County police. Just before noon on Wednesday, officers responded to the Chastain Meadows Parkway Walmart, where they discovered an ongoing altercation between two groups of people. The victim, 23-year-old Eddie Figueroa, succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital; the investigation is ongoing. (WSB-TV 2)
  2. Switzer Library invites local tweens to attend this month's Inclusive Tween Art Workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. The program is designed for tweens with fine motor challenges, sensory processing differences, and other special needs.   3. The festive season in East Cobb continues with this weekend's roundup of holiday-themed events. Today (Saturday, Dec. 10), the community is invited to the Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center for a full day of holiday fun, including a holiday market and a screening of "Home Alone" at the Black Box Theatre. Several church holiday concerts are scheduled for both today and tomorrow (Sunday, Dec. 11), while the ongoing Fox Family Christmas Lights Display is sure to dazzle. (East Cobb News)
